Maximus Federal Strengthens Commitment to Delivering the Right Outcomes with Small Business Alliances
The week of April 30 – May 6 has been declared National Small Business Week by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Maximus Federal is proud to work with, and alongside, many outstanding small businesses in helping support the missions of federal agencies.
When it comes to serving government agencies, Maximus Federal is dedicated to delivering the highest levels of quality, diversity and innovation and the best outcomes for federal clients.
Our collaborative alliances with a variety of socioeconomic and specialized small business partners play an important role in this, and our Federal Small Business & Partnership Office continually seeks the support of certified small businesses that share our goals and values in order to form strong teams that help government serve the people.
Through various agency and federal government small business programs, we foster partnerships with small businesses that share our commitment to excellence, hold deep subject matter expertise that aligns with our core capabilities in federal health, financial and civilian services, bring strong past performance qualifications, and seek a proactive approach to identifying and communicating new opportunities. Together, we combine expertise and capabilities to give federal customers the tools they need to succeed.
Spotlight on: TDB Government Services
Since 2014, Maximus Federal has served as a mentor to TDB Government Services, a Kansas-based Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Mentor-Protégé Program. TDB’s extensive experience working with local and national Veterans Affairs’ offices, as well as DHS, was a natural complement to Maximus Federal, particularly in its service to disabled veterans.
“After the two companies met, we found that we shared a lot of common practices. In terms of our goals and strategies, TDB obviously needed some additional strength and understanding,” said Donna Divine, senior vice president of government services at TDB. “Maximus Federal was able to provide that type of support by setting goals and targets when we entered into our mentor-protégé program. From there, we’ve managed to secure several contracts through our partnership.”
Over the course of three years, Maximus Federal has worked seamlessly with the TDB team to support a nationwide rollout of a new veteran program. Maximus Federal has also helped TDB strengthen its financial and contract analysis capabilities, management projects and marketing expertise, as well as supporting TDB’s expanding footprint in the federal contracting market.
“Maximus Federal is very good about giving us guidance and direction,” Divine said. “We’re a small fish in a very large pond. Having a large contractor like Maximus as a partner levels the playing field for us.”
Alliances like these benefit small businesses, Maximus Federal and, ultimately, the federal agencies that also have small business goals to meet and exceed. Our mentor protégé relationship with TDB Government Services has enabled our teams leverage one another’s strengths to compete for opportunities that neither company could pursue on their own – a win-win for all – while delivering quality outcomes for our federal customers.
