Dear friends and colleagues of the Maximus Foundation,

I am writing to let you know that after serving on the Maximus Foundation Board of Directors for more than twenty years, including the past 17 years as Chairman and President, I have decided to transition toward full retirement. I am delighted to announce that Dr. Arvenita Washington Cherry will assume the duties of President of the Foundation. Concurrently, she will continue serving as leader of all Maximus Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.

Arvenita brings impressive talents and experience to her new role as President, and I am confident she will faithfully continue the mission of the Foundation into the future. To ensure she has adequate support and historical reference, I will remain Foundation Chairman during the next few months to work collaboratively with Dr. Cherry and assist in completing our current grant-making cycle.

I am incredibly grateful for the support I have received over the years from the Maximus Board of Directors, the company's leadership, my fellow Foundation board members, donor employees throughout the country, and our extraordinary grantees.

Together, I know we have made a positive difference in the lives and wellbeing of countless individuals and families in communities where our employees live and work. I applaud and am sincerely in awe of our nonprofit partners everywhere for their unwavering commitment and frontline dedication to helping people in need.

Serving as Chairman and President of the Foundation has been a privilege, and I enthusiastically welcome Dr. Cherry as my successor.

Sincerely,

John F. Boyer, Ph.D.
