Managing Director, Maximus | Attain
Cindy D’Annunzio is a Managing Director within the Maximus | Attain division and is responsible for the firm’s Federal Health practice. A former Division Director for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Cindy brings unique knowledge of multiple Department of Health and Human Services programs, including CMS’ programs, Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP regulations and policies, and federal government procurement and budget processes.
Cindy is a seasoned leader known for delivering mission-critical services and solutions. Within CMS’ Office of Financial Management (OFM), she served as a principal advisor to the CFO and Director of OFM, and managed a billion-dollar budget, which included complex and agile technology initiatives. She also led several CMS program integrity efforts aimed at decreasing improper payments made by Medicare and Medicaid to combat waste and abuse.
Since her departure from CMS, Cindy has led federal health business development and delivery teams for General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), Turning Point Global Solutions, and Companion Data Services, a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina.
Cindy holds a master’s degree from the University of Baltimore, a certificate in legislative studies from the Government Affairs Institute, and a bachelor’s degree from the Towson University. Cindy also spent several years as an adjunct professor within the University of Baltimore’s Health Administration program.
