Senior Vice President, Federal Health Strategy
Elizabeth Smith leads the development of the federal health strategy and coordination across federal health operations, sales, technology, and with other business units, including state and international health. She leads the Center for Health Innovation which includes Maximus Public Health and Health Science and Analytics. Her work to date resulted in over $2 billion in sales in 2020-2022 and new market development with an associated sales pipeline of over $10 billion.
Elizabeth has over 30 years of experience working with the U.S. federal and state governments, commercial systems integrators, and private healthcare and technology firms, ranging from management and technology consulting to sales strategy and implementation. As a top-ranking sales professional at a leading systems integrator, Elizabeth tripled the revenue of her division in four years. As a strategy and growth leader, she has rebuilt sales organizations and processes using a strategic design approach, resulting in over $80 billion in new sales.
Elizabeth holds a master’s degree in health policy and planning from Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Syracuse University.
