From order initiation and paternity establishment through order modification and locate services, we provide a combination of personalized and self-service options, employing technology to communicate with parents using the methods they prefer. Our work with employers involves educating and guiding them through the new hire reporting process, as well as how to respond to income withholding and medical support orders.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to take its toll on families and businesses across America, Maximus is hard at work providing essential services to help ease the burden.

Virtual order modification

We designed our new virtual modification process (vMOD) to expedite the review and modification process for noncustodial parents who have lost their jobs and are receiving Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA). The accelerated process allows parents to request modifications through your child support agency’s call center or website. Acting on behalf of your agency, Maximus can review each case, validate eligibility, conduct virtual meetings with parents, and move the case through the order modification process at an expedited rate. Working together, we can help parents who are struggling financially to access much-needed relief and avoid going into arrears.

Mobile app

vMOD is supported by the Maximus Child Support Mobile App. With features that include the ability to send and receive documents securely and track order modifications from start to finish, the app offers a convenient option that’s available 24-7. Parents can connect with their local child support office in a contact-free, virtual environment for enhanced safety and peace of mind as we weather the pandemic.

Employer Services Portal

We make it easier than ever for employers to comply with child support reporting requirements through the Maximus Employer Services Portal, which includes an option for electronic national medical support notice (NMSN) processing. In addition to new hire reporting and income withholding order (IWO) processing, our innovative NMSN approach offers a vital opportunity to help children gain access to their parents’ private health insurance and medical care.
