Congratulations to our project teams in New York, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan for receiving Platinum and Gold Hermes Creative Awards. These awards honor global marketing and communications professionals for their outstanding contributions to traditional, digital, and emerging media. With more than 6,000 entries, the awards program allowed our teams to demonstrate the power of our digital innovations in helping state governments to improve consumer engagement and streamline program operations.

Platinum awards for mobile apps and digitized forms

First, our NY State of Health (NYSOH) team won a platinum award for the NYSOH Mobile Upload App, which allows consumers to take pictures of required documents with their smartphones or tablets and securely submit them through the app. This digital document submission enhances the consumer experience and simplifies the eligibility process, enabling consumers to access coverage faster.

Second, our mobile app developed for the Pennsylvania Enrollment Assistance Program also received platinum honors. This app offers Medicaid members an easy, accessible way to search and select a health plan and provider, and access benefit information. The app’s features help streamline the enrollment process and provide a convenient, effective pathway for people to find the healthcare they need for their families.

The third platinum award highlights the overall achievement by our Wisconsin team for digitizing authorization forms and creating a self-service tool for Milwaukee-based participants in Wisconsin’s FoodShare Employment and Training program. FoodShare participants are required to submit authorization forms in order to receive employment and training services. The forms provide important program information and clear directions for what participants need to do to accomplish their employment goals. Working with the state to improve participant experience, we implemented our guided forms and signatures capability, allowing participants to easily submit the needed documentation electronically.

A gold award for culturally competent communications

Our Michigan team received a gold award for their communications campaign supporting the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. We created an easy-to-understand brochure in multiple languages to inform Michigan Medicaid members of the required actions to maintain their coverage during a renewal process.

Honorable mentions

  • Covered California health coverage flyer: To support the 2024 renewal process for California’s health exchange, Covered California, we created an accessible and user-friendly flyer that gave qualifying consumers important information about changes to their health coverage, including a helpful chart to compare their current plan benefits and costs to a new plan.
  • Michigan Medicaid renewal letter: The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services engaged us to create an easy-to-understand communication to inform Michigan Medicaid members what they needed to do to prevent interruptions to their health coverage. The letter explained the renewal process and options in a clear, accessible format suited for a broad range of readers in multiple languages.
  • Pennsylvania HealthChoices website: When the website platform for Pennsylvania’s Enrollment Assistance Program was nearing expiration, we expeditiously led the migration to a new platform to keep people’s sensitive protected health information and personally identifiable information secure.

Congratulations to all our project teams for your recognition by the Association of Marketing & Communications Professionals. At Maximus, we believe in the transformative power of digital solutions to enhance government program operations and these awards underscore our commitment to helping our state clients achieve their missions.
