The Arkansas Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment and Training team participated in days of service to facilitate team bonding, give back, and share Maximus’ commitment to the community.
Building relationships and lasting partnerships

Last May, the team partnered with The Russ Bus, a nonprofit organization that aims to bring hope to those experiencing homelessness by empowering, educating, and serving those in need to help improve their unique situations.
Learn about The Russ BusAfter a successful first in-person project, during which the team organized and built shelves for incoming donations for The Russ Bus, they wanted to continue to meet the needs of their community by partnering again for a virtual project. In a quest to discover what other assistance they could offer, the team and The Russ Buss agreed to create a resource directory of organizations that serve those experiencing homelessness around Arkansas to help connect more resources to those that need it most.
As a part of Maximus’ mission of moving people forward, this team’s daily focus was to educate SNAP recipients on the benefits of SNAP Employment and Training, assist in overcoming barriers to education and employment, and refer to SNAP Employment Training Providers. Due to this shared goal, the Maximus team was able to assist The Russ Bus with creating a resource directory of 400 organizations that could help individuals and families experiencing homelessness across the state.
Thank you to the Maximus Arkansas SNAP Employment and Training team for demonstrating Maximus’ values by supporting local organizations and the communities where we live and serve. Your commitment showcases the great things that happen when we come together.

Giving back to the communities we serve
The Maximus Foundation is one of the ways Maximus colleagues are doing something greater together. Established by the Maximus Board of Directors in 2000, the Maximus Foundation is an independent, colleague-led, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Maximus team members pool their charitable contributions together through the Foundation, double their impact on the grantmaking program through Maximus’ dollar-for-dollar matching pledge, and make their voices heard by nominating and voting for future grantee partners. Though the Foundation focuses its giving strategy on grantmaking, it also helps coordinate corporate-wide humanitarian efforts and empowers staff to donate their time and skills to nonprofits. Their inspired giving and volunteerism help accelerate the missions of nonprofits on the front lines of the communities we serve. Learn more at the Maximus Foundation website.
