Elisabeth Schmidt
Senior Vice President, Technology Consulting Services
Elisabeth Schmidt leads the Federal Health portfolio for Technology Consulting Services at Maximus. In this role, she works with clients across the VA and HHS, including CMS, CDC, and NIH, to deliver innovation and technology services and solutions that will support the goals of Health Equity through digital modernization, data interoperability, and human-centered design.
Elisabeth has spent her entire career in the consulting industry, specializing in complex program management and systems integration, outsourcing, and business transformation programs for the public and private sectors.
Prior to joining Maximus, Elisabeth was the IBM Consulting Lead Account Partner for the State of Georgia, responsible for sales and program delivery that achieved expected client outcomes, bringing innovation and creative solutions focused on enabling data analytics and insights as part of her clients’ digital transformation. She also served as a Quality Partner across the State, Local, and Education client accounts, driving quality, risk management and delivery excellence practices and methods to achieve client business outcomes, financial objectives and compliance throughout the project life cycle.
Prior to her role with IBM, Elisabeth also worked for Eagle Hill Consulting, a Woman-Owned Small Business, serving clients at the US Department of Treasury and the US Department of Agriculture.
Elisabeth spent the first 27 years of her career as a Partner at Accenture, during which her most noteworthy rewards came from the successful delivery of her clients’ missions, achievement of expected business outcomes, and the resulting impact these programs had on her clients’ constituents being served. Elisabeth was known for her ability to develop trusted relationships with her clients as well as her commitment to team member career growth and skills development, consistently creating a collaborative, productive work environment to maximize performance and delivery. She was also recognized for her business operations management capability and delivering continuous performance improvement results through proactive analytics measurement and reporting.
Throughout her years at Accenture, Elisabeth’s clients included US Departments of Homeland Security, Treasury (IRS Health Coverage Tax Credit, OCC $MART, DC Pensions STAR), Energy, FERC, Education (Federal Student Aid), and USPS; State programs including Nebraska Department of HHS (Child Welfare) and Texas Department of Child and Adult Protective Services program; as well as commercial clients in the Hospitality and Communications and High-Tech industries.
Elisabeth is a current member and class of 2013 graduate of Signature Program Leadership Center of Excellence, designed for senior-level professionals to foster a commitment to strengthening the local community. She is also a current member of the National Association of Professional Women since 2015.
Elisabeth and her family live in Alexandria, Virginia. She has two children – Eliza, 23, and Joey, 20.
