Christen MacMillan

Senior Director, Federal Health

Christen MacMillan joined Maximus in 2014 and has excelled in various leadership roles in the Federal Health market including quality and project management, capture, and professional services. In her roles, she has been critical to the delivery of innovative solutions with speed and scale to meet evolving needs of health agencies by scaling operations through automation, process optimization, and establishing a provider experience program that grew the Clinical Provider network by 400% in two years. She has also led business growth in areas including telehealth, credentialing as a service and clinical exam services. 

Under her leadership, Maximus implemented a Clinical Provider Credentialing System and achieved both NCQA CVO and URAC CVO certifications, while innovations significantly lowered costs and improved efficiency. Recognized for her contributions, she received the Maximus Federal Excellence Award for Operational Excellence in March 2020.

Prior to Maximus, Christen was the Global Director of Quality at Amentum, overseeing quality and performance excellence for a $4.5 billion government services company. She achieved her Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2007 and holds certifications as a Lead Auditor for several ISO standards and other quality frameworks such as CMMI for Services and Development. Further, as a certified Scrum Master to ensure she can continuously be a trusted advisor and provide innovation solutions. 

Christen is a proud graduate of George Mason University with a degree in Psychology.
