Additionally, she has developed and implemented strategies that advance the organization's objectives, such as prioritizing employee experience, process improvement through technology, and a mindset of tolerance and self-reflection that allows for a free exchange of ideas.
With over 20 years of legal experience across various practice areas, such as immigration, corporate litigation, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, and securities, Maria is recognized as an experienced legal professional. She advocates for Maximus employees by educating business leaders on how changing immigration laws, cultural shifts, and geopolitical developments can affect foreign nationals here at Maximus. Her commitment to service is grounded in her belief in human rights, family values, and indigenous heritage. Maria also serves as a director of the Maximus Foundation.
