Mike first heard about the Foundation when it was first started in 2000 by the Maximus Board of Directors. “I thought it was such a great idea to have an organization that embodied what I believe Maximus does daily across our projects, either directly or indirectly,” Mike continued, “helping people when they need it the most.”
Today, Mike is based out of Georgia and is a Foundation Ambassador and Southeast Regional Leader. As a Foundation Ambassador, Mike promotes the Foundation to colleagues, making sure they know its history and importance and the many ways you can become involved in supporting its efforts.
“Last year, I was able to call the Atlanta grantee partners and let them know the good news about their Foundation grant awards. Knowing the importance Foundation grant awards make in the ability of community organizations to be able to maintain or increase the work they do is awesome!”
Mike is excited about the Foundation's future and the impactful changes that are in store. As a Regional Leader, he’s excited to see how the Ambassador program is growing, giving an opportunity for colleagues to support the Foundation and local communities. “Helping to build a sense of team and community that embodies what the Foundation is about is a great feeling.”
