The rapid evolution of the cyber threat landscape and the rise in cybersecurity incidents have forced the Department of Defense (DoD) to rethink cybersecurity measures. With cyber threat intelligence, defense agencies have increased visibility into threats, improved decision-making abilities, and reduced risk of data breaches. We talked with Michael Sieber, Senior Director for Cybersecurity at Maximus, to discuss how defense agencies can optimize cyber threat intelligence to improve national cybersecurity.

“Cyber threat intel helps with removing that human error from the equation as much as possible, by helping automate patching and prioritizing what vulnerabilities should be addressed,” Sieber said. “There’s always going to be a ton of vulnerabilities, but it’s really important that you’re prioritizing the ones that will cause the greatest damage or impact to your network.”
