Maximus Careers Center Terms of Service

Welcome to the Maximus Careers Center (the “Careers Center”). In this area of our website (the “Site”), Site users, such as yourself, can learn more about and pursue available opportunities within Maximus. We are excited that you’re ready to do something greater, and we can help you do so here! Before continuing, however, you must read the below carefully.

This page (called the “Terms of Service”) contains important terms and disclaimers that Site users visiting the Careers Center must understand and follow. These Terms of Service form a legally binding agreement between you, as a user of the recruitment features and capabilities offered via the Careers Center (the “Services”), and Maximus.

Both these Terms of Service and the version of Maximus’ Terms of Use applicable to you as determined by your jurisdiction of residence (collectively, the “Terms”) apply to the Careers Center Services. Please click on your jurisdiction of residence below to access the Terms of Use applicable to you:

Together, the Terms define our relationship to you as a user of both the Site and the Services. If any provision of the Terms is held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of the Terms will continue in full force and effect.

By clicking “Accept” and/or using the Careers Center or its features, you agree to be bound by the collective Terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority, as determined by the laws of your jurisdiction of residence, in order to accept these Terms. If these Terms of Service conflict with the version of Maximus’ Terms of Use applicable to you as determined by your jurisdiction of residence, these Terms of Service will control. You must not access or use this area of the Site if you do not agree with or accept these Terms.

Our Services

The following features and capabilities of our Careers Center help make the Maximus application and recruitment process user-friendly and seamless. Please familiarize yourself with the below, taking particular note of the relevant terms and disclaimers accompanying each feature.

Creating and Accessing Your Account. Your first step in the application and recruitment process will be to enter basic information like your name, email address, and other details that will allow us to process your application and communicate with you throughout the recruitment process. You will also have the option to create a Maximus account.

Maximus respects your privacy and will treat your personal information as confidential. For more details about the information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in connection with such information collection, please refer to our Global Privacy Statement.

We offer certain third-party integrations to make it easier for you to upload information to the Careers Center. For example, you can submit application materials using tools like Dropbox or Google Drive. Before utilizing these integrations, please note that Maximus has no control over and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any external site(s) (“Third-Party Site(s)”). If you leave the Site and choose to enter a Third-Party Site, you acknowledge that any terms, conditions, and privacy policy of such Third-Party Site apply to you. Maximus assumes no responsibility for the content of any Third-Party Site and expressly disclaims any and all liability arising from your use of such Third-Party Site.

Application Portal. You can submit your resume, application materials, and other content (collectively, “User Content”) via our application portal. By submitting User Content to the Careers Center, you hereby represent and warrant that you are the exclusive owner of, or that you have received all necessary authorization, approvals, licenses, rights, and/or clearances from the owner for, any submitted content (including, but not limited to, text, audio, video, and photos).

Maximus has the right, but not the obligation, to review, monitor, examine, assess, and verify your User Content, including for compliance with applicable laws and regulations, requirements of competent governmental authorities, and the Terms.

You also grant Maximus permission to use your username, image, voice, and likeness to identify you as the source of any of your User Content and generally as a part of the recruitment process, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby waive any and all rights of privacy, publicity, or any other rights of a similar nature in connection with your User Content.

Virtual Interview Portal. We may offer options for live and/or on-demand recorded interview possibilities through our interview portal. In our live interview portal, you may interview for available positions via video. Before your interview begins, you’ll be able to read about your interviewer(s) and the position and review some sample interview questions and answers. In our on-demand recorded interview portal, you’ll have the ability to complete a one-way interview on your own time. You may be asked to respond to questions by recording a video, submitting text, or answering multiple choice questions—whatever the format, you’ll be able to practice first.

You acknowledge and agree that your use of the virtual interview portal is at your own discretion and risk. We do not guarantee that your use of the virtual interview portal will increase your chances of being considered or selected for open positions, nor do we guarantee that the audio, video, data security, or other technical functionality of the virtual interview portal will be error-free during live or on-demand recorded interviews. You further acknowledge and agree that Maximus reserves the right to record live interviews.
