Beverly (Bev) Roberts joined Maximus in February 2024 as the Senior Managing Director for Clinical Health. She brings over 30 years of federal and state health experience.
Bev began her career as a life scientist. She worked 14+ years at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Her experience includes life sciences research in C-type human retroviruses including HIV-1 expression and mechanisms of activation in humans, emergency operations management, and IT program management. She then joined Northrop Grumman and later Battelle, where she rose to leadership positions in both business development and program management. Bev worked for Northrop Grumman from 2004-2018 and held numerous positions in business development and operations across Department of Defense (DoD) and civil federal markets. As a business developer, she captured over $3B in business.
As a program leader, she led health and social service contracts overseeing the implementation of modern Medicaid and social service programs in over 20 states. At Battelle, she managed client relations and operations for federal health agency contracts in life sciences research, health analytics and data science, public health research and policy, and medical devices including advances in neurotechnology. Her efforts included securing multiple key contracts for citizen and healthcare worker protections during the COVID-19 pandemic which earned her the Battelle President's award in 2023.
During her career she has also served as a philanthropist and champion for diversity and inclusion. She authored the benefit equity white paper at Northrop Grumman which led to affording insurance benefits for transgender persons and females undergoing fertility treatment. This effort earned her the Northrop Grumman President's Award. Bev holds a degree in microbiology from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in health services administration from Strayer University. She and her wife Kim reside in Washington, DC with their Welsh Terrier, Haines.
