Emily Issacs is a clinical services expert with an extensive background in applied quality and clinical work with vulnerable populations. She has experience in conducting clinical summaries to identify individual needs and recommendations aimed at optimizing treatment success for individuals, running clinical alignment sessions, and providing clinical management.
Emily is a critical partner in facilitating the use of best practices to make objective care setting determinations. She thoughtfully and skillfully collaborates with states and other engaged organizations on statewide assessment projects, such as evaluating the needs of youth in out-of-home care. By combining her knowledge of Qualified Residential Treatment Programs (QRTPs) and youth behavioral health with her vast applied clinical, quality, and leadership experience, Emily continues to drive successful, compliant clinical services projects and improve outcomes for vulnerable youth populations.
Before joining Maximus, Emily provided therapy and clinical management in various settings, including outpatient substance abuse treatment for adolescents, school-based therapy, and psychiatric residential treatment. She holds certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from North Carolina State University and a master’s degree in counseling and educational development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
