Prior to his tenure at Maximus, Kynan held a significant leadership position at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). In that role, he was responsible for the development of critical cybersecurity requirements for the Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) program, establishing its cyber posture, and guiding its high-level IL6 (SIPR) cloud accreditation. He also provided government oversight for the Security Operations Center (SOC) and information assurance across both cloud and on-premises infrastructures. Kynan earned a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland and possesses numerous industry certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA).
