Michael Sieber is a senior director at Maximus, where he leads technology and cybersecurity solutions across a Department of Defense (DoD) portfolio spanning secure infrastructure, cloud modernization, risk management, and mission systems delivery. He is responsible for translating mission needs into scalable, compliant solutions while ensuring disciplined execution across highly regulated and classified environments.
In his role, Michael provides portfolio-level leadership across multiple active DoD programs, operating at the intersection of mission execution, technology strategy, and operational delivery. His experience enables him to align cybersecurity, systems engineering, and modernization initiatives to customer outcomes while sustaining performance, compliance, and long-term growth.
Prior to joining Maximus, Michael served as the Chief Information Security Officer in the Office of the Department of Defense Deputy Chief Information Officer for Special Programs, where he acted as an Authorizing Official responsible for the accreditation of multiple classified networks and systems.
Earlier in his career, Michael served as Chief of the Strategic Effects Division at U.S. Cyber Command, where he planned and executed information operations in support of national security and critical infrastructure protection. He also commanded the U.S. Army’s only active-duty information operations battalion, providing operational and intelligence support to senior military leadership.
Michael is a retired U.S. Army Colonel and a graduate of the Naval War College Command and Staff program. He holds a Master of Science in Information Operations from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Webster University. He also completed a Business Management Certificate from Vanderbilt University.
