Troy Tangen has nearly 35 years of experience in preparing cost allocation studies. As associate managing director for our financial services consulting practice, he applies his expertise in developing cost allocation methodologies and cost recovery chargeback rate models for state and local government agencies.
Troy is responsible for the preparation of statewide cost allocation plans, central service cost allocation plans, department cost allocation plans, and indirect cost rate proposals throughout the country. He’s prepared thousands of cost allocation plans and indirect cost rate proposals that have been used for the identification of allowable indirect costs expended by state and local governments and associated with programs funded with federal or state dollars.
Before joining Maximus, Troy was a state auditor for the Florida Office of the Auditor General.
A Certified Public Accountant and Certified Government Financial Manager, Troy holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and a Master of Business Administration degree from Florida State University. He is a member of the Association of Government Accountants and the Florida Government Finance Officers Association.
