Kynan Carver
Cybersecurity Lead, Defense Market
Kynan Carver is responsible for expanding the cybersecurity practice for the Department of Defense team at Maximus. In this role, he applies his extensive knowledge of advanced cybersecurity engineering, security operations, and cyber intelligence to design and deliver next-generation cybersecurity solutions.
Prior to joining Maximus, Mr. Carver led the development of cybersecurity requirements for the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) Cybersecurity division for the Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) program. This included development of the cyber posture and Body of Evidence (BoE) as well as the IL6 (SIPR) O365 accreditation within Azure (IaaS and SaaS) IL6 (SIPR). Mr. Carver also provided governmental oversight of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Information Assurance (IA) for both cloud and multiple on-premises infrastructures.
He holds certifications for CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner, Certified Ethical Hacker, and Certified Network Defense Architect. Mr. Carver graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity and is currently pursuing his Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity from Liberty University.
