Martha Sanders-Tonahill

Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff, U.S. Services Segment

Martha (Marti) Sanders-Tonahill is the Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff for the U.S. Services segment and is responsible for supporting strategy and segment initiatives, key business decisions, and assisting senior executives in all aspects of operations. Martha also oversees analysis, risk management, and compliance within the segment. Since joining Maximus, she has served in various management roles across the United States, working as a Vice President of Human Resources for the Health Central and Mid-Atlantic Groups and as Vice President of Operations for Human Services, supporting child support, new hire reporting, paternity engagement, and many other state-based contracts.

Martha has 15 years of program administration and management experience in health and human services. Before joining Maximus, Martha served as a contracted state attorney in Tennessee and as a guardian ad litem for the Rhode Island Family Court’s Office of the Court Appointed Special Advocate.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law.
