How long have you worked for Maximus, and what is your job?
I have been with Maximus for over 17 years. Currently, I am the quality assurance director for the Family and Economic Impact (FEI) group under Human Services.
Why do you think it’s important for companies to invest in a DE&I strategy?
I believe it is important for all staff to feel included and represented and programs like DE&I achieve that. DE&I also provides companies with the opportunity to enrich their company culture through the diversity and talent of its workforce.
Why did you join the ¡MÁXIMO! ERG?
I wanted to learn more about other Latin cultures and meet others across the organization with similar backgrounds to mine.
What’s the most exciting experience you have had as a member of the ¡MÁXIMO! ERG?
So far, the most exciting experience has been seeing that there are so many of us across Maximus and that there is so much more to come from this group. I am excited about the future of the ¡MÁXIMO! ERG.
What’s the biggest impact you think ¡MÁXIMO! can have on Maximus and/or the community?
I think the biggest impact it could have is bringing so many Latin cultures together from across Maximus to share similarities and differences that lead to professional growth, local community participation, and celebration and appreciation of our roots.
