We are proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Paul Williams as General Manager for its Outside the U.S. Segment. In this role, Dr. Williams will lead growth and operations for our international business portfolio spanning health program administration, independent assessments, and workforce and disability services. He will report directly to Bruce Caswell, President and Chief Executive Officer.
“Paul’s appointment underscores our commitment to strong delivery across our international markets,” said Caswell. “His leadership in clinical innovation and digital capability development will elevate our ability to support governments outside the U.S. and deliver stronger outcomes for the people they serve.” Added Caswell, “As Paul steps into this role, I want to congratulate Kevin Reilly on his retirement and offer my sincere appreciation for his significant contributions to Maximus over the past 20+ years, including his most recent role leading our Outside the U.S. Segment.”
Dr. Williams is a recognized leader in occupational medicine and large-scale health service delivery. He graduated from Leeds Medical School in 1987, became a General Practitioner in 1992, and retrained in occupational medicine in 2001. As a leading expert on workplace health, he has held senior clinical roles across the United Kingdom’s (UK) National Health Service, local government, policing, and manufacturing, and was elected President of the Society of Occupational Medicine in 2017. Dr. Williams is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
He joined Maximus in 2015, first as Chief Medical Officer and then as Programme Director for the Health Assessment Advisory Service. In 2018, he became Division President of Maximus UK, leading one of the largest private employers of healthcare professionals in the UK, with more than 1,800 clinicians delivering services on behalf of the UK Government.
