Child Support Month celebrates the anniversary of the Child Support Enforcement Program's establishment in the Social Security Act of 1975. For the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services' Division of Child Support Services (DCSS), the month provides an opportunity to hold Family Resource Days to raise awareness and help connect Illinois families to the range of available child support services.
In addition to this year’s Child Support Awareness events, DCSS supported local children and families through service projects and donation drives. When deciding how best to get involved, Andre Price, local Foundation Ambassador and Maximus Project Manager, connected with DCSS and took action.
