Maximus is deeply committed to giving back to communities across the country. The Corporate IT office in Eagan, Minnesota, chose the Open Door Pantry for this year’s giving back event, continuing our community support and teambuilding tradition.
The Open Door Pantry is a well-respected hunger relief organization based in Minnesota. It is dedicated to combating local hunger by providing nutritious food to individuals and families across Dakota County. Their mission is to end food insecurity in local communities by ensuring everyone can access healthy food and health products, which aligns with our core values of compassion and respect.
The Open Door Pantry serves more than 15,000 residents each month and distributes over 3 million pounds of food annually. Often, they are the first call for those who are food insecure and need support in their community. The need for their services has reached unprecedented levels in recent years, making the Open Door Pantry a critical resource for community members who are experiencing unemployment, homelessness, seniors living on a fixed income, and low-income families with young children—all of whom rely on these vital food support services.
Last July, we hosted a week-long donation drive during which Maximus team members had the opportunity to contribute to this important cause. Employees generously donated various food items, needed household goods, and personal care products at our Eagan office, coming together to make a significant impact as a team.
Thanks to our team’s enthusiastic participation and generosity, we are overjoyed to share that we collected nearly 300 pounds of much-needed items for the Open Door Pantry. This incredible effort will help support families in our community who are facing food insecurity.
