Alhassan Elbarasse is a Vice President of Human Resources (HR), focusing on compensation, benefits, wellbeing, and executive compensation. He is the senior HR business partner for the Standardized Operations & Analytics group at Maximus. In his role, he works closely with the Maximus leadership team and business stakeholders to improve the employee value proposition in addition to developing and implementing new strategies to attract, engage, and retain the best talent. Mr. Elbarasse is also a Board member of the Maximus Foundation.
Throughout his tenure at Maximus, Mr. Elbarasse has led the continuous improvement of employee benefits and developed a strategy to improve the compensation provided to employees throughout the company. In particular, Mr. Elbarasse focused on employees’ experiences in understanding their benefits and initiated a feedback loop through which Maximus HR leaders could address employee concerns. The result is an ongoing process that prioritizes the affordability of medical insurance while improving coverage. Mr. Elbarasse also led the implementation of a job architecture and career ladder, ensuring that all employees understand they can have a long and mutually beneficial career at Maximus by aligning compensation/rewards with career growth.
Mr. Elbarasse joined Maximus in 2018 as the company’s Senior Director of Total Rewards. Before this, he held various HR positions in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, where he began his career in actuarial consulting in 2000.
Mr. Elbarasse earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from George Mason University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance from George Washington University’s School of Business.
