Lisa Simmons

Director, Maximus Foundation

Lisa Simmons is a 30-year veteran of human services program operations, including 27 years of experience designing and implementing innovative programs to improve the lives of children, families, and vulnerable populations around the world, including in Italy, Singapore, South Korea, and Sweden. Since joining Maximus in 1996, she has consulted for and advised numerous private organizations and government agencies across the social services spectrum as they develop and administer human services public policy. As a leader in the Maximus Family and Economic Impact division, Lisa has oversight for 23 contracts supported by more than 800 professionals. Her dedicated teams ensure safety-net services are accessible to those in need, operating TANF, SNAP, child support, child care, and medical support programs.  
 
Lisa serves on Maximus Italy's Board of Directors, where she oversees client relationship management and helps lead business development and expansion. She is also a valuable member of the Maximus Foundation Board of Directors where she helps guide the organization’s charitable strategy and community engagement. She serves as a corporate representative for the Congressional Black Caucus Institute and the National Black Caucus of State Legislatures. Lisa is the President of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), D.C. Section Two and is a 30-year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
