(Tysons, Va. – September 17, 2026) – The Maximus Foundation ("Foundation") has awarded more than $2 million in grants to nonprofit organizations in communities across the country.
The 2026 awards reflect the Foundation's ongoing commitment to long-term partnerships with the communities it serves.
Since its founding in 2000, the Maximus Foundation has awarded more than 3,200 grants totaling $20 million to nonprofits working to strengthen communities nationwide.
Funded by Maximus and its staff, the Foundation's giving is guided by a belief that lasting change is best driven by people closest to the work. Maximus staff nominate organizations they know and trust, vote on finalists, and contribute alongside the company, ensuring funding reflects real community insight and on-the-ground needs.
"Our Maximus colleagues and partners are closest to the needs of communities, and it is a privilege to follow their lead," said Dr. Arvenita Washington Cherry, President and Chairperson, Maximus Foundation. "As we continue to focus our Impact Grants on food access and our Community Choice Grants across 11 impact themes, I'm encouraged by the trust our grantees have earned in their communities and confident in the lasting change they will help create."
