Caroline Beeman

Caroline Beeman brings over 24 years of experience to her role as a Director with the Higher Education practice. She has worked extensively in the university costing and sponsored agreements areas and is an expert with 2 CFR 200 and F&A, CRIS implementations, space surveys, DS-2’s, service centers, and Fringe Benefit proposal preparation. 

Specializing in maximizing the F&A rate through employment of long-range strategies, Caroline has led over 70 projects related to F&A Cost Rate Proposals and service centers. Prior to joining Maximus, she served as the director of cost analysis at the University of Virginia (UVA) for 13 years. Her experience and accomplishments at UVA include increasing the F&A rate by 10 points, conducting successful space training and surveys, consulting and providing guidance on costing issues and compliance, and managing and overseeing the review of service center rates. She received her M.S. in Management Information Systems from UVA and has been a Certified Research Administrator (CRA). Caroline serves as the Lead Faculty for the annual Maximus Long Form and 2 CFR 200 four-day workshop. As a nationally recognized expert on F&A, Caroline regularly presents at NCURA, FRA, NACCA, SRAi, Maximus Annual Users Meeting, Maximus webinar series, and national annual conferences.
