In her role as a senior site manager, Jennifer Gordon said she enjoys watching the Bogalusa, Louisiana, call center grow.

How did you start working at the call center?

I began my career on the project in 2013 after I was laid off from a job I held for nearly 10 years. My first role was as training lead with a subcontractor. During this time, I managed training subcontractors at both the Bogalusa, Louisiana, and Hattiesburg, Mississippi, call center locations. Many people supported me as we prepared to enter our busiest season assisting consumers. It was an exciting, yet frightening experience but it led to me being promoted to a manager position at the end of the 2013. 

How has your career progressed with Maximus?

During my journey over the next several years, I would go on to meet key people who supported me in my position and prepared me for my most recent role as the senior manager of the Bogalusa call center. I could not have made it to where I am today without the support of those around me, including my site director, deputy director, and managers.   

Those pivotal conversations, when you need a listening ear professionally, and having that support system, are priceless. Maximus invests in their staff. They pay it forward by preparing individuals to step out of their comfort zone and pulling others up. I’m looking forward to seeing how the Bogalusa call center continues to grow. There are many opportunities available for everyone, and I’m glad to be a part of that process.
