Michael Stubbs began working at the call center location in Bogalusa Mississippi, as a customer service representative (CSR) and has advanced into the role of human resources specialist.

What has been your career path at the contact center?

I started working here in September 2014, as a customer service representative. After working as a CSR and seeing all the benefits the company had to offer, I decided to start my career journey and sought to rise up the corporate ladder.

I applied and was accepted as a temporary supervisor, which eventually turned into a regular full-time role. After years of being a supervisor, I took advantage of the opportunity to become a temporary human resources administrator. Toward the end of my HR admin assignment, I applied and was accepted into my current role as HR specialist.

What I love about my current role is that I have great support, a great team, an awesome manager and senior manager, and I can continue to do what I love and that is to help people.

How were you successful in advancing your career at Maximus?

I had a lot of encouragement along the way. One of my previous managers saw my potential and encouraged me to grow in the company. I am grateful she pushed me to take advantage of the opportunities the company offered. The best part of working my way up in the company was knowing that the program will provide me with the tools I need to be successful. And I knew that it was up to me to take the steps and grow.
