Managing Director, Middle East and Asia
Gursel Mehmet is the Managing Director for the Middle East and Asia and has almost 20 years’ of experience in the human services, recruitment and outsourcing markets, with a particular focus on the design and delivery of successful programmes to support disadvantaged groups into employment. Mr. Mehmet has a demonstrable record of delivering strong growth and operational efficiency across both private and public-sector contracts and has worked with a range of government departments in the United Kingdom, Middle East and Asia.
Mr. Mehmet has been with Maximus since 2014 and is responsible for delivery of all Maximus contracts in the Middle East and Asia. This includes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) where Maximus is one of the top performing providers of employment services to welfare recipients, and a Career Matching Provider in Singapore.
Prior to Maximus, Mr. Mehmet worked as a consultant in the Middle East where he worked with local government and employment service providers. Before this, Mr. Mehmet was the U.K. National Programme Director for Reed in Partnership where he was responsible for the startup and contract management for employment programs, as well as the design lead for delivery model and performance improvement measures.
Mr. Mehmet holds a BSC honors degree in Psychology and Sociology as well as professional qualifications in Coaching and Project Management.
